Tata Harper Boosted Contouring Serum Is Splurge-Worthy

I’m hardly materialistic but there are days I wish I have really deep pockets. One of those was when I finished up my bottle of Tata Harper Boosted Contouring Serum.

It was SO exceptional that I find myself reeling from the loss after the bottle was emptied. Yes, it was THAT effective. But if it’s so amazing, how is it I haven’t ordered my next bottle?

Well, because the price is too prohibitive.

Cult beauty brand
Why should this be a surprise since this is Tata Harper we’re talking about—a highly coveted super-natural beauty brand with a tribe of spellbound devotees. A cult beauty brand that VOGUE calls life-changing.

Now that’s a stretch for me. I’m amazed with the brand and I’d love to try more of their products, but I probably need more convincing that its benefits can extend beyond skin deep to reach my soul. LOL.

Nevertheless, I’d concede that Tata Harper is indeed in a league of its own.

How so?

Ingredients of highest concentration
When most green brands boasts of clean formulas that contain just a couple of hero ingredients, here’s a brand that maxes out by delivering complex formulas using a library of ingredients of the highest concentration.

They can afford to do that only because they farm their core ingredients in Vermon. That’s why their ingredient list is anything but short.

I used to protest against long ingredient list but I can’t seem to fault Tata Harper’s. They are not crammed with useless fillers or additives, but quality and amazing skin-benefiting ingredients that deliver results. And obviously no GMOs, fillers, artificial colors, artificial fragrance, synthetic chemicals go into their formulations.

But their products are not certified organic. They use organic ingredients but they are only EcoCert certified.

For those learning about this brand for the first time, Tata Harper is named after its founder who owns the lovely title of the Queen of Green.

Here’s her backstory:

Tata couldn’t find 100% natural products that were up to her impeccable standards of efficacy, quality, and purity. Think La Mer without synthetic additives.

So she started Tata Harper Skincare to make products for herself, and for women like her who refuse to risk their health for beauty.

Her products are made from scratch but it took eight chemists and five years before they came to fruition.

Cheek tint and exfoliating cleanser
Besides skin care products, Tata Harper also has a selection of lip and cheek color tint that has many smitten. As you can see, I have one of their pretty Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint.

I also have their Regenerating Cleanser, a gentle exfoliating cleanser that supposedly acts as a 4-in-1 product to thoroughly cleanse and minimize the appearance of pores.

Tata Harper Boosted Contouring Serum
But today, I just want to focus my review on Tata Harper Boosted Contouring Serum that is described as a supercharged anti-aging treatment.

Here is a formula designed to be a natural facelift, instantly lifting, tightening, and smoothing the look of skin upon application.

Here are some statistics on its benefit timeline:
5 min: TIGHTEN 81% of volunteers reported a tightening effect in just 5 minutes
2 hrs: LIFT Proven to deliver a 17% more lifted look within 2 hours
28 days: BOOST FIRMNESS 80% of volunteers noticed a reduction in jowls
30 days: SMOOTH WRINKLES Users experienced a 37.6% reduction in appearance of wrinkle depth

The serum is described as having to ability to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles while comprehensively supporting collagen production, resilience and elasticity for a more youthful appearance. I also read that it helps provide a visible contouring effect—something I desperately need these days.

Here’s the super-duper long ingredient list:
Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Aqua/Water, Rosa damascena Flower Water*, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Silybum marianum (Milk thistle) ethyl ester, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Hydroxystearyl Alcohol, Acacia Senegal Gum, Propanediol, Glycerin, Glyceryl undecylenate, Cetearyl alcohol, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil*, Punica Granatum Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Extract, Leuconostoc Ferment Filtrate, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed wax, Hydrolyzed Rhizobian Gum, Cetearyl Olivate, Coco-glucoside, Sclerotium gum, Glyceryl Caprylate, Hydroxystearyl Glucoside, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil*, Montmorillonite, Sorbitan Olivate, Ornithine, Centella asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract*, Oryza sativa (Rice) Extract*, Illite, Sodium hyaluronate, Kaolin, Phospholipids, Pheonix dactylifera (Date) Seed Extract, Solidago virgaurea (Goldenrod) extract*, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Glycolipids, Oryza sativa (Rice) Extract*, Alaria Esculenta Extract, Salix alba (Willow) Bark Extract*, Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract*, Spiraea Ulmaria Flower Extract*, Tilia europaea (Linden) Leaf & Flower Extract*, Borago officinalis (Borage) Leaf Extract*, Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) Extract*, Arnica montana (Arnica) Extract*, Lavandula stoechas (Spanish Lavender) Extract, Narcissus tazetta (Daffodil) Bulb Extract*, Menyanthes trifoliata (Buckbean) Flower Extract, Leuconostoc Ferment Filtrate, Sambucus Nigra Fruit Extract, Aroma**, Citral, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Benzyl Benzoate *Ingredients from Organic farming **Clinical grade essential oils blend

What’s great about the Boosted Contouring Serum
First off, this serum is yellow in color, probably a naturally derived color from one of the ingredients. What I found most distinctive is the scent that may not appeal to everyone. Especially not when you’ve not used natural or organic skin care products.

But if you’re a green beauty veteran, the scent should not be a problem. I can’t describe the smell that well but it kinda reminds me of an oil. I wouldn’t call it unpleasant, it just needs a bit of getting used to.

Other than that, I can’t find anything to pick about the serum. Its texture is like a lotion and that makes it easy to apply. Just two pumps and my entire face is taken care of.

So why do I like this serum so much?

It works instantly every time! I’m not sure if my face was more contoured during that season but I definitely see a noticeable lift, especially around my eye area. I know it doesn’t say it can be used on our eye area but looking at the ingredients and the texture, I decided to use it on the delicate area.

If you’ve got cash to splurge and are in the market for a green beauty product that delivers, I would highly recommend this serum. Do your research. You should find a lot of raves, other than mine. It’s expensive alright (AUD$259) but well worth every dollar spent.

Eve Organics
I received the product complimentary from Eve Organics, an online green beauty store based in Australia. Besides Tata Harper. Eve Organics also carries niche beauty brands such as Blissoma, Captain Blankenship, Harlow, Fable Naturals, Black Robin, and Leahlani, Hynt, Innersense, amongst others.

Eve Organics ship international. If you’re based in Australia, you can receive your order via express postage Australia-wide at AUD$9.95. If you’re not, worldwide postage is based on weight and starts at AUD$10.55.

    Hello,

Good writing. Although, I don’t think I will look further into Tata Harper products. I stay away from products that claim to be superlative.
The main reason I am leaving you a comment is, I noticed a typo, below.

“.. who has owns the lovely title of the Queen of Green.”

Thought you want to know, and I hope you don’t mind.

    Wishing the very best.

  9. Sesame says:

Thanks Visda! I’ll get it corrected.
