Review: Nature’s Gate Herbal Blend Body Wash
This is the second or maybe third product I’ve tried from Nature’s Gate. For some strange reasons, the brand never appealed much to me even though their formulations combine mostly botanical, herbal and floral ingredients. But because of the sale at Guardian, I decided to try their body wash. I almost bought their volumizing shampoo and conditioner as well but placed them right back when I remember I still have a number of shampoos sitting in my shelf, unused.
As I like the smell of lemon verbena, I picked the Nature’s Gate Body Wash with Organic Lemon Verbena and Chamomile Extracts. The smell seems okay when I took a sniff at the store but when applied on my body, it didn’t come across as refreshing as I’ve expected. In fact, I couldn’t smell much of the lemon verbena although it is listed second on the ingredient list. But the body wash does what it promises – it hydrates and nourishes the skin very well. So this is great for dry skin, as well as those who are too lazy to moisturize their skin after a shower.
Chamomile & Lemon Verbena Body Wash S$16.70
This body wash contains mostly natural formulation without SLS, parabens, phthalates and animal by-products. It is truly gentle because I tested the pH level and found it to be 5. While the smell isn’t as refreshing as I like it to be, the product left my skin feeling very nourished. The 354ml bottle cost S$16.70 but you can get a 20% off currently due to GSS promotions at selected Guardian stores that carry the range. I bought mine at the Suntec City outlet. And since we’re on the brand, what products have you tried under Nature’s Gate that you like?

hi sesame,
i’ve tried the lavender one and thought that while nature gate’s scents dont appeal to me very much, i do like the moisturising after feel. nature gate is available at Venus beauty stores, the last i saw they are selling at S$9.90 for 200ml.
I have seen this brand around, but like you, it didn’t seem to appeal to me. Besides, I have too many bath and body products to warrant buying more.
But I like the idea that there is no need to moisturize after showering (lazy me, I know!) with the body wash. ?
Perhaps, the next time I am itching to try something new, I might check this out.
my sister says she really likes the pear and red tea shampoo/conditioner from this brand. it smells really good, it doesnt smell like your typical shampoo-smell.
i might check out their skincare range too!
The smell is rather peculiar isn’t it? And yes, it’s very moisturizing…I was surprised! I didn’t know it’s available at Venus…the price is good for a 200ml.
Yeah, good for lazy pple like us. ? But some pple may not like the “film” it leaves.
I read some good reviews on the shampoo but decided against buying them now. Maybe later. I hope the smell is better.
Hi, I’m currently using [Nature’s Gate, Organics, Light Switch, Lemon Skin Brightening Serum For Day & Night], while i can’t tell if there is actually any effect yet, i love the citrusy-orange scent.
I also used [Nature’s Gate Rainwater Clarifying Shampoo], has a fresh scent. Leaves my hair clean and soft.
It’s all good ?
Citrus-orange is nice…I’ll love that scent too!
I was looking for the clarifying shampoo but they didn’t carry it at Suntec. I saw the volumizing and almost bought it.
Try buying nature’s gate from iherb.com – its way cheaper.
I like their shampoos too!
Won’t the shipping be costly? I tried ordering Burt’s Bees shampoos online via spree since they’re a lot cheaper but after factoring in the shipping, it cost about the same.
Eh, you can order directly from iherb.com
But the shipping to Singapore would be quite substantial…not too worthwhile.
