Nutriganics Skincare Range from The Body Shop
Some of you may remember that I ran a giveaway on the Nutriganics range from The Body Shop last September. Well, local readers will be happy to know that the range will be available in the Singapore stores from next Monday! Nutriganics is a certified organic skin care range with over 95% of its ingredients meeting the certification standard set by ECOCERT. I was told that The Body Shop took about two years to develop this range as they wanted to give their customers a truly high quality organic range. This collection consists of seven items that make up a full skin care regime complete with cleanser, toner, moisturizers and a deep cleansing mask. I received the products a month ago and Cass, a reader of Viva Woman, kindly accepted my request to review the products.

=) The thing about TBS having an organic line is that it makes organic more conveniently available to people. I had always put off going to far-flung places like Bud Cosmetics, and some more private small shops that you had recommended. Now, it gives me one more reason to try Organic.
By the way, I was just wondering if you’ve tried any of the newer organic lines at Sephora, like Mineral Flowers (whose hand cream I love), and O’liviers & Co., other than the usual Juice Beauty and John Masters… …
Interestingly, they also brought in Nvey Eco, a luxury organically certified cosmetic line.
I read about Mineral Flowers on another blog, and apparently, it contains Dead Sea Minerals.
I’ve tried a lipstick from Nvey Eco and that’s all. Not tried Mineral Flowers and the other one. Too many products and I can’t possibly test them all. But would love to check them out.
Thanks for the review. I guess only the cleanser is worth giving a try.
Thanks for such a thorough review. I am particularly impressed that you persevered with the night cream for 2 weeks after you found it a little uncomfortable, given the absence of air conditioning.
I live in a semi-arid region (Ojai, California) and remember my time in Singapore as a lot more moist than it is here, and I am intrigued by how skin care products do in different climates.
Thanks for such a thorough review.
I see. Yes, too many. And it’s so hard to finish using skincare.
By the way, Cass, perhaps the toner might feel better if you just put a bit on your palms and pat it in instead of using a cotton pad?
I personally have stopped using cotton pads for toner more than 6 months ago. It not only saves on the toner, it also goes on better without the rough cotton, since I do not want to invest in cotton pads. I reckon my hands are still the softest and smoothest when it comes to skincare, and patting seems gentler than rubbing as well. Plus, it is a bonus that my hand will absorb all the goodies too!
I thought my face might be get used to it and I didnt want to do a review just based on 1 day trial.
Me too, when I was Australia for a few years, my skin care products were totally different from back home.
Thanks Jyoan. I thought of this before but toner is supposed to get rid of the last traces of makeup?
well i do not like sticky stuff. i’m using faceshop blackhead mask and the result is the best compared to other brand. overall i’m using nu skin products, i like the toner, it is refreshing and absorb to the skin very fast but i’m trying to make my own toner now, my friend told me to boil rosebuds and use that water as toner. yet to try but bought my organic rosebuds today.
Interesting recipe about the rosebuds…I use it mostly to add to soak. For toner, green tea is good too.
I’m kinda happy with my TBS skincare that I’m using now so maybe I’ll take my time to get one of these products.
The toner of being slimy & sticky is not a good for my oily skin.
I suppose it’s okay to skip their toner but go for the others if you’re thinking of trying them out.
Hi Sesame
Would like to know if you have tried the body shop drops of youth concentrate serum and their facial oil? What is your view on them? Thanks ?
Sorry Elaine but I’ve not tried those. If they’re fairly unadulterated then probably it’s okay. Otherwise, you can find a lot of other better products cheaply from iHerb.
