Origins Organics in Singapore from April
I have never been keen on the range of products from Origins. I suppose it is because the first product I bought from them happened to be the overpriced but underperforming Origins No Offense Deodorant. However, their latest Origins Organics, which is a full line of skin, body and hair care products containing ingredients certified organic definitely piqued my interest and I learnt that the new line will be available in Singapore come next month, 1 April.
There are nine products under the Origin Organics collection which are certified under the USDA National Organic Program, the same seal used to recognize organic foods.
- Foaming Face Wash
- Purifying Face Lotion
- Purifying Tonic
- Soothing Lip Balm
- Cleansing Body Bar
- Hydrating Body Lotion
- Body Pampering Massage Oil
- Silkening Body Sprit
- Conditioning Hair Oil
Apparently, six items under this new collection contain at least 95 percent organic ingredients. But I was surprised to find that even though their Purifying Toner is one of those with 95 percent organic ingredients, it contains alcohol as an active ingredient. Additionally, I read some negative comments regarding the smell of this range which is kind of surprising as I know most of Origins’ products smells pretty good.
Well, I will just have to check it out myself. I’m also curious to know the local price point as the lip balm is already retailing at US$15 online. I certainly hope this is not going to be one of those highly priced organic range that delivers nothing but disappointment.

Hello!
May I know where can we find Origins in Singapore? I can’t seem to find any stores/counters. ?
Wen: You can find Origins at Isetan Scotts ground level, Tangs at Vivo City and if I’m not wrong, at Raffles City too.
Hi Sesame,
FYI Alcohol ( Ethanol 99.9%) which is also used in alcoholic beverages (Potable grade) is 100% organic made either from molasses, grains or starch (potatoes, tapioca) etc ..
I see…but most true organic brands typically avoid alcohol in their formulations.
